PATXI ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK & AMERICA ONLINE ANNOUNCES
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOR WORLD'S FIRST LIVE ONLINE FASHION SHOW WITH VICTORIA'S SECRET
New York, NY - Patxi Entertainment Network's (P.E.N.) announced today that it it has entered in to a strategic partnership with America Online to extend its exclusive coverage of Victoria's Secret Spring Collection as part of the world's first live fashion show cybercast from the Plaza Hotel in New York City on February 4, 1997. P.E.N.'s leading fashion web site SUPERMODEL.COM was given exclusive online rights to cover the event and will be simultaneously broadcasting its coverage on AOL's recently launched "Style Channel".
This exclusive deal marks the launch of a joint venture between P.E.N. and America Online's Style Channel, another milestone in P.E.N.'s growing position as the leading celebrity based Internet programmer. As a result of the new deal between P.E.N. and AOL, P.E.N. will now become the first independently owned Internet programmer to provide content for the Style Channel. The event will simultaneously also be broadcast live on SONY's Jumbotron video screen which is positioned in the middle of New York City's Time Square.
The live event coverage will feature editorial, digital images from the runway and back stage as well as chats with the world's top models including Tyra Banks, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Frederique van der Wal, Helena Christiansen and Stephanie Seymour. The joint venture will be officially launched with pre-fashion show online chats, which will lead up to the live webcast.
